Pre-Writing Questionare

Today I completed my Pre-Questionare. I started taking notes on my periodical but I did not get finished because I had to read it first. I should be done with it by Monday.

Outline

Today I finished my outline after about a day or 2. Mrs. Fossum had to help various times and show me a classmates just so that I can get the idea but I eventually did. Mrs. Fossum found me a periodical and I am going to start taking notes after I complete my Pre-Writing Questionare.

Fifth Website Source

I am almost finished with taking notes after Mrs. Fossum helps me find a periodical to take notes off of. I cimpleted my fifth webiste soucre, I started my title page and I am about to start on my outline until I am able to recieve help.

Fourth Website

I completed my fourth website and I am starting my fifth one. The title is called Hairdressing, that telling about a few hairstyles. It takes it back into modern times and how they used to where there hair.

Third Website

I finised my third website source. I starting my fourth one titled Hair Care about Hair. After finishing this one I will have two more to do which is my last website source and my periodical.

2nd Website Source

I finished my second website titled On Hair Styling. It gave tips on how to do a few hair styles. It gave the products that are needed to do and style the hair and what prdoucts are the best.
I started my third website titled All About Shampoo. I have half of my notes right not but I am almost completed with this article.

Today I finished my first website source, the article is about Damaged Hair. It gives various bonds, proteins and coils that are in your hair. I tells how they work and come together. Gives chemicals that should be used in which part of the hair because there a certain parts that take certain treatment. I started my second website source, the article is about hair styling, gives a few tips on how to use certain tools, like curliung irons and blowdryers.

After finishing my book source I started on my first website source. I did the article that talked about Damage Hair, the article tells about various damages that can occur to the hair. It tells what happens and how it can be helped. I haven't finished this taking notes on this article.

Today I continued my books source. I found a few definitions and words that I needed to know about hair coloring. There was good information but basic terms that were needed really. I finished a page of notes which seemed enough. I am about to move into my next note source after Mrs. Fossum checks my notes and make sure not corrections need to be made.

Book Source

Today Mrs. Fossum had the class write down a few bullets of information needed for our note taking. I started off with a book titled, " Hair Coloring Manual and Activites Book:". The book gave a lot of information that was neccessay to do my project. I haven't completed my book source yet but I am almost finished.

Today I completed my interviewing questions that had to be completed today. I had a class mate read and revise my questions. I made the corrections and added a few more sentences. Now have to find another person to interview just in case the one I want know is not available for the interview.

Interview Questions

Today we were introduced to the interviewing portion of our project. We had to decide on a person that we would like to interview. Which we had to choose 2 because one might not come in handy. But before that we had to make up 10 questions that we wanted to know about our topic that we could ask our interviewer, that could help us with our project.

Key Terms

Today I created 10 key terms that relate to my project that might helpo people understand whats going on. I define them to my best ability, that others could understand.


Key Terms


Comb- a toothed strip of plastic used for arranging the hair, untangling it, or holding it in place.
Brush- a utensil consisting of bristles, hair, or the like, set in or attached to a handle, used for straightening or styling hair.
Perms- chemicals used to straighten out the hair
Moisturizer- a cream or lotion, used to restore moisture to the skin
Dye- coloring material or matter
Weave- hair used to create hairstyles or make hair longer
Braids- To interweave three or more strands, strips, or lengths of in a diagonally overlapping pattern
Barrettes- A small clasp for holding the hair in place
Dryers- An appliance that removes moisture by heating or another process
Shampoo- chemical used to cleanse the hair
Conditioner- chemicals used to make the hair the healthy and detangled

Presentations

Today and yesterday we viewed persentations of other classmates graduation projcet. They told us a little bit about there project so that we can either help them or they can help us. I like the constructive criticism that was given because it helped me fix my mistakes that I didnt notice and I did the same for others. And the foundations questions that we did previously helped me answers questions that people were asking, so if you did them it was like you were ahead or had an advantage.

Carnegie Library

Today I researched the Carnegie Library online for a few books that I could view whenever I go to the Library tomorrow. I completed that section of my assignment. I found a few books that seemed very interesting to me. I then completed the virtual online tour assignment which was good because it gave me a concept of what the library would look like and where things are.

Today I still didn't find no other sources for my project. Everywhere I go it gives images of styles but no information on what products and how to do it and that is basically how my project works. Plus all the hairstyles are crazy and I am doing a simple hair book with basic styles. I decided that I am going to stick with the 10 sources I already have because they benefit me the best, plus the assignment is due today.

Webliography

Today I was getting my webliography revised and had article from the same source, which was okay but needed to find if there was any other information cites out there. A classmate helped me with a few sources but I really couldn't use them because they only showed hair styles and I needed more information. So I started over, searched google for a few more sources to see if there are any better cites.

3 Annotations

Today we were suppose to started our webliography paper which we only had to start three annotations that we did in class. I completed my start of webliography and just needed to get it check just to make sure it is approved and is okay.

Sources Cited

Today I had keep researching sources to make sure there weren't no better places. After finding your 10 source, you have to cite 3 of them in MLA Citation. I just completed my 10 sources and I am finished citing my 3 sources.

Fifth Day

Today I did the finishimg touches to my collage and turned it in. Then I had a meeting with Mrs. Fossum about my letter, which was accepted but I just had to do a little finishing touches on the letter. Then I moved on to the next assignement, which you had to find 10 sources that you would use for graduation project.

Fourth Day

Today Mrs. Fossum and Mr. Nelson went over the graduation project and a few ways we can do our project, Mr. Nelson talked to us about using the cameras. Then Mrs. Fossum talked to us about making a collage on our project. I still decided to keep the same topic, which is a hair book, so I did my collage on hair products and styles.

Third Day

Today I was suppose to go on to the internet and search web sites about my topic. My searching really didnt turn out that good because everywhere I went they just showed me pictures of hairstyles and thats not what I was looking for. One place I looked which was Encarta, showed me hair and I liked that one the best out of all the places I looked. Right now I can see that the research for this project is going to be hard.

Second Day

Today I worked on my interest questions, which were realy hard. There were questions that I had to really think about. One that I dont have an answer to yet is, name three questions that you would like to be answered. I not finished with that worksheet yet, I have about 3 more questions to do. But after that I started my 10 interest worksheet, just so that I could have it started.

First Day of Blogging

Well I really haven't heard anything about the Graduation Project except for at the beginning of the second trimester I heard we had a graduation project. I have already decided what I want to do my graduation project on, which I want to create a hair book. Some of the concerns I have about this project is making a book is hard, its not like it can be 2 to 3 pages, i have to take this real seriously and use my time wisely.
